The Ultimate Guide to Cleaning Leatherette: Keeping Your Hydbond™️ Leatherette Patches Looking Brand New

As a business owner, you know the importance of providing a quality product every time. Hydbond Leatherette, is known for its weather proof compounds, durability, washibility, adhesion, and deep black engravings. However, leatherette can build up soot & grime from the smoke around the designs after engraving. That's where La awesome comes in – the ultimate solution for keeping your Hydbond™️ leatherette patches looking brand new.

Understanding Leatherette

Leatherette, also known as faux leather or synthetic leather, is a popular material used in hat making, promotional products, and various other applications. It is designed to mimic the look and feel of genuine leather, but with a more affordable and low-maintenance composition.

One of the key advantages of leatherette is its resistance to stains and easy cleaning. Unlike genuine leather, which can be more delicate and require specialized care, leatherette is a more forgiving material that can withstand water, sweat, and hard work. This makes it an ideal choice for creating high quality "leatherette" patch hats.

The Power of La awesome

La awesome is a revolutionary cleaning solution that is specifically formulated as a skin safe non-toxic degreaser that works great for cleaning patches! This versatile product is designed to gently yet effectively remove soot, grime, and stains from your Hydbond™️ leatherette, leaving it looking as good as new after engraving.

One of the key benefits of La awesome is its ability to penetrate deep into the leatherette's surface, breaking down and lifting away even the most stubborn contaminants. Unlike harsh chemical cleaners that can damage the material, La awesome is formulated with a gentle, pH-balanced formula that is safe for use on leatherette.

Step-by-Step Cleaning Guide

Cleaning your leatherette is super easy! Follow these simple steps to get your leatherette surfaces looking their best:

  1. Prepare the Surface: Begin by gently wiping down the leatherette surface with a microfiber cloth to remove any loose dirt or dust. This will help the cleaning solution penetrate more effectively.
  2. Apply the Cleaning Solution: Spray a small amount of La awesome directly onto the leatherette surface or onto a clean microfiber cloth. Avoid over-saturating the area, as this can lead to excess moisture.
  3. Gently Wipe: Using the microfiber cloth, gently wipe the leatherette in a circular motion, applying medium pressure. This will help the cleaning solution work its magic and lift away any stubborn stains or grime.
  4. Buff and Dry: Once the surface is clean, use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to buff the leatherette, removing any excess moisture and restoring the material's natural shine.

The Benefits of Cleaning Your Leatherette Patches & More

Providing a quality patch every time will not only help promote your business, but keep your customers coming back! Quality is key.

Other Cleaning Solutions

Baby wipes, water & vinegar are also great cleaning solutions for your patches.

Appearance

Fiebings leather sheen is a great option to enhance the look of your patches. It adds a satin finish and conditions the patch for a long term use!

Hey Breta! LA awesome is a friendlier degreaser than most on the market today, making it perfect for lifting up debris that may be stuck on the leatherette after engraving. You can ultimately use any degreaser, but just test it out to make sure it’s not going to damage the appearance of the leatherette.

As a European I can’t get my hands on LA’s awesome. What kind of product is that? What can I use instead? Is there anything. I tried many things and on darker colours it’s fine but bright ones are problem for me. Do you have some advice for me? :)
